Earlier this year, Z3 Technology, LLC and Eide Consulting Group—both companies within the Technology Development Center—completed company expansions. Now, GeneSeek, a Technology Park company located at One Technology Place (OTP), is undergoing its own expansion.
Dan Thompson, director of instrumentation at GeneSeek, said the troubled economy hasn’t hurt daily business at GeneSeek.
“It has been the opposite,” he said. “We are in an expansion phase. The demand for our products has been lively.”
“The expansion allows continued growth,” said GeneSeek product manager Tim Mitchell. “It also allows us to be more creative and less cramped.”
Jeremy Walker, director of global customer solutions, said the expansion includes increases in space and the number of employees because GeneSeek’s products and services are in higher demand.
GeneSeek’s office space has doubled from 3,861 square-feet to 7,984 square-feet.
GeneSeek offers research and product development services for agribusiness, biotechnology, life science and pharmaceutical industries. GeneSeek also offers state-of-the-art health care for animals and humans through research and clinical diagnostic services.
OTP is located east of the TDC and offers mid-sized companies many benefits including: technical support, telecommunication services, interconnectivity of park buildings, auditorium, video conferencing, access to University of Nebraska facilities and room to grow.
Two other companies are located at OTP. Computer Services, Incorporated offers integrated banking solutions, and Ingenient Technologies develops embedded software for implementation of digital signal processing and product design.
